Personal Shield Pro- A fake anti-virus software

Like an ordinary day, a few minutes ago, I was accessing net. Suddenly I noticed some antivirus, named "Personal Shield Pro", was disturbing me with its pop-ups which says that my system is infected with enormous viruses and malwares. I was surprised to see this new anti-virus software on my system. But I let it keep scanning my system. After it had scanned my system wholly, it told me that lots and lots of problems had been found and in order to rectify them, I need to upgrade this antivirus. I didn't bother to do so and kept doing my work.

Then suddenly I found that it is deactivating many of my system controls and processes like task manager, registry editor, some of my browser features, my taskbar icons etc. So I realized that this was something other than an antivirus software. I goggled for it and got various links which means to remove the Personal Shield Pro. This confirmed my doubt.

I opened one such link which suggests to download some anti-malware program. But this fake antivirus has already disabled any such function on my system. Tired of trying every possible thing, I decided why not to check "Safe Mode with Networking". I logged in again in safe mode with networking and deleted all the files from my "temporary folder". Please don't delete any file which your system might be using; simply skip deleting that file(s). After this I restarted my system in the usual mode and it was done. I finally got rid of that fake anti-virus program.
Some links on google shows to delete some registry entries and some files, but I did nothing like that.

In case if you find any such program, just check for it on net and take appropriate actions.

Happy Computing...!!
