Intzaar

kahi kisi ko kehte suna hai ki
jo jo jab jab hona hai,
so so tab tab hota hai.
aur shayad ye sach bhi hai.
ae zindagi jab teri settings itna time leti hai
then why don't you bless me with some patience
taki mai samundra ke kinare baith kr
shant mann se aati jati lehro ko dekh saku
lahro ki mastiyo ko bharpur ji saku
bina kal ki parwah kiye
us kal ka jis par mera shayad koi zor hi nhi
aur ye intzaar bhi kr saku ki
koi leher samundra ki gehraiyo se
ek amulya (priceless) moti laa kr
mere pass hamesha ke liye chod jae
kyuki mai janti hu ki
is intzaar ke dusre chor par
khushiyan mera intzaar kar rhi hai
aur itna dhayaan zarur rakhna
ki kahi meri ye umeed tut na jae.
because hope is all what I have.
ae zindagi mujh me itna sabr bakhsh
ki mai is intzaar ka bhi maza le saku

Sant Kabir ji bhi keh gye hai-
dheere dheere re mana, dheere sab kuch hoye;
maali seeche sow ghara, ritu aaye fal hoye... :)

PS: Happy Ending 2011.... You were great. Wish 2012 is gonna even more awesome. :D

My old drawig book-a treasure for me

Yesterday, when I was looking for something in my cupboard, I found a rare treasure, my old drawing book that contains some of the art pieces that I've made few years back. I thought that I've lost them somewhere but now I am filled with rejoice to have them back.

I generally cherish all my drawings no matter how pathetic they are, coz they are the my ladder steps to all what I am now. They form the part of my experiences that have made me better and better. And I always happy to share my drawing with all. Created a video for the same purpose.

Your suggestions and feedback is welcomed and matters to me. So feel free to post your comments. :)

Beautiful Nature

It always feels great to be in the lap of nature. Whenever I feel sad or lonely, I feel life with the nature. Whenever I am happy and excited, I feel as if nature is also celebrating happiness with me.
Thank you God for making this world so beautiful... :)
Below are some of the clicks of sunrise and sunset that I've clicked over times. My collection:-

Perception towards a situation changes everything

Heya...

M back again. Ok I've been to no where. Was just doing some preparations to leave for Infosys Mysore shortly. Everything was going fine but as it is said there is many a slip between a cup and a lip, same happened with us as well. On Saturday (Dec 10th, 2011), we got a sudden mail from Infy that because of some accommodation availability issues, our doj (date of joining) has been postponed from Jan 9th,2012 to Feb 6th, 2012. We all were shocked. Our shopping was almost done, packing was about to start, tickets have been booked and then a jhatka...

Now there can be many ways to deal with this new twist. One way is to cry literally and yes we people did that. During hours long discussion that went on my Facebook status, we cursed Infy a lot and passed a lot of comments. (Wish I could add a screen shot of that.. it was fun.. ;))
Many of my friends and seniors, who are already getting crushed in their jobs, asked us to feel good and made us realize that we've been so lucky that we got some more time to spend quality time with our families because once we get into the IT sector, those people are going to take our juices out of us. So just chill.

After a while, I realized that they were correct. Yes I've got one month more to be cheerful and live my life the way I want. :)
Now I can enjoy all my interests that have been lost somewhere in the busy run of life. Now I can plan some more trips. Yes I'm super happy now. :D

I don't know what Almighty has thought for me, but one thing for sure is that I'm gonna make the best of it. :)
Good luck Deepika...!!

Thankgiving and more...

In my last post, I've requested my college authorities to please give us our degree certificates asap. The recent update is that they've accepted our humble request and now we can collect our degrees. Good point is that we can now have our degrees- hmari chaar saalo ki mehnat; and the bad point is that we won't we able to enjoy our convocation, one thing that I've been longing for so long... :( Graduate hone ki sahi feeling to convocation me hi aati hai.. But its OK. This is all that I can say now. No other choice..!! ;)

One more thing to share- Yesterday I got a new cell phone. Its Sony Ericson Xperia Ray (black). A very smart phone keeping me busy all the day long. :) Pesh hai uski ek jhalak :---->

One more thing... As on today, i.e. December 6th-2011, exactly one month (31 days) is left for infosys. The countdown has begun. On one thought, I am happy and excited and on the other, I am feeling sad. Confused once more. :o Detail to it will be posted on some fine day... Till then stay tuned...... ;)

Give us our degree, O College officials......

I guess we have to put more effort to get our degree from college officials than we've put to earn it in past four year. :O
Degree hmari aur nakhre unke..not fair...!!
Atleast hmari degree par to hmara hi haq hai.

...

"Chasing our destinies, we often overlook a lot of little things. So, even if for a short while, just take your eyes off your busy schedule and search for that special feeling.. the feeling that makes the city you live in, the life you live even more beautiful... who knows you might also find a companion, and then all of a sudden you see that life is coming your way"

Just read it somewhere... found these lines very interesting and true, so posted at my blog as well..... Hope no one minds that...!!

These days, I don't know why but I am not able to manage the appropriate titles for my posts so leaving them almost blank or something random. Will definitely correct it when I'll figure it out. Oh kya ho rha hai ye...... totally confused with my life... :O

Bbii College... one more time...

Time to bid good bye to my college once more and probably this is the last time...

Earlier I did the same when I was to leave the college as a student. That time I feared of missing my friends, masti with them, those lectures, my teachers and the overall environment and I did miss them all a lot.

But this time, I'll have to leave it as a lecturer. This time, I'm gonna miss my students the most. I was really a very nice experience with them. Collected many beautiful memories in a four months span that will remain ever green in my memory garden.

Even though my designation has changed, but the overall feel is still the same as previous. Trust me, it's very painful to leave college. :(

So this post is dedicated to all my students...!! Wishing you luck for your exams and for your life as well...!!

Write it again till you become perfect...

I still remembered one common way of punishment given to the students in the schools, especially when they are found with their no or incomplete homework. It was- "You'll have to do the whole of the homework for 5 times by tomorrow". Today I experienced the same. I wrote my name for at least 875 times and that also in a time period of 2 hours or so.

No... Neither that was a part of any negative reward nor I'm in a habit of writing my name (or signing) after every few seconds.

The actual reason goes like this....

Today I checked the practical files of my students (just one group). The number was around 35 files where each file contains about 20 to 28 practicals each.
Checking each practical means signing each practical, which simply means writing my name for around minimum of 35*25=875 times.
After I've checked all the files, I felt that there is only one word that exists in whole of the universe and that is 'DEEPIKA'. :O (strange)

When I used to imitate my teachers as a part of my childhood activity/game, I used to feel great while checking my rough notes; now I've realized how monotonous it is. But Thank God that it is over now.

Update: This number has now increased three times when I got two more groups. :O

Raho se Manzil YA Manzil se Rahe

"Sometimes the destination is so amazing that we tend to choose any path that lead us to it, however tough it is... And sometimes the path is so wonderful that we don't mind to which destination it may lead."
-Original thoughts by Deepika Bansal. :)

Phle to ye manzile itna lubhati hai ki unhe panke ki chah me hum mushkil se mushkil raho par bhi chalne ke liye tyaar ho jate hai. Bhot saare alternatives me se ek simplest possible rah ko chunte hai aur thodi dur chalne par pta chalta hai ki arrey this is not as simple as thought earlier. Par koi bat nhi, ab jab chalna shuru kr hi diya hai to aise dar kr beech me rukege to nhi, manzil ko to ab paa kr hi rhege (spirit you see...).

Apne aap ko kafi inspire aur motivate krte hue kadmo ko aage bdate jate hai. Jitna badte jao, utni hi manzil dur lagne lagti hai. Strange... Fir dheere dheere manzil se jada raho se lgav ho jata hai.. Aise hi manzil ko chase krne me hi mza aane lgta hai. Gradually jab aise hi satisfaction milne lgti hai to manzil, jo abhi tak bhot dur lgti thi, achanak se darwaze par dastak de deti hai. Aur hum sochte hai-"Arrey ab ye kya hai...kya itna safar tai kar bhi liya....!!"

Chalo ab jab naav (boat) kinare par aa hi gyi to kya kr skte hai. Par is pure scene me raho me aage badne ki shayad adat si ya shounk (chaska is probably the better word here) sa ho gya. Aur shayad isiliye ek nayi manzil ke liye fir se chalna shure kr dete hai aur ye silsila chalta rehta hai.

Shayad ise hi log tarakki kehte hai. :)

PS: The feeling/theme before writing this post was entirelydifferent. But as I was writing, I just went along with the flow of my thoughts which gave it an altogether a new face. Will definitely try to write the original thoughts behind this post some fine day. :))

Be positive and Feel Good

"The toughest part of letting go is realizing the other person already did" (just a thought, read somewhere, nothing personal)....
Everything is pre-written. Sometimes it is better to be a spectator and let the things happen for you. Have faith in the Almighty and enjoy the moments as they come. Sometimes this is the best you can do to stay relaxed and calm. :)
Just feel good about the things that are happening, even if you are unable to spot out any thing good. Coz everything happens for a reason. Be positive, have patience and just live in high spirits. :)

My crazy Activa ride going crazier

Today when I was coming for college in the early morning (yes 8 AM is early for my students and for me as well, especially when the temperature is going down slowly...), I noticed that my Honda Activa ride is getting faster and crazier.

For years back when I started driving, it did not go beyond 25 to 30. Within in a year, it reached to 50. After sometime I noticed it at 60 on highway which is still the same. I'm trying hard to let it go above it but no positive result so far...

Only 2 more months are left for some more Activa ride. Coz after that Infosys will be providing us with the cycles to go from our rooms to the office. That will be a different experience going from cycle to Active and then a U-turn to cycle. Lets see how well it goes. :)

Update as on October 22,2011: Finally today, I achieved the speed of '65' on my way home while overtaking a 18 wheeled truck. Hurray... Time to set up new target for myself...  :D

Jai Mata Di...!!

Today is the eve of Dusherra and also of Durga Visarjan.  Few minutes ago, the clay idol of Maa Durga has been taken away with a heavy heart so that it can be immersed in some water body flowing nearby the town.

Above are the clicks of the same which I'm sharing with you.

This ceremony was performed with great enthusiasm and cheerfulness wishing that next year also, the Divine Mother will come on the earth to bless us.

Laziness

Laziness is our biggest enemy which lives with us as our very close friend. I’m calling this laziness as our close friend because all the day long we live with it. We can feel its presence every moment with us. In fact, it wouldn’t be wrong to say that we’re being guided by this close friend of ours as if this laziness and not we are our masters. We’ll do the work when our laziness is feeling a bit lazy and we’ll not do it when our indolence is active. And the most surprising thing is that we ourselves have let it rule us, our mind and our actions. So this is how I’m justifying myself when I’m calling the laziness as our best buddy.

But in fact, this is our biggest enemy. Now reason for such a thought is that it stops us from starting those small steps which actually becomes the initial steps of our greatest achievements. But no we are very lazy to start any deal.

Create Animated Tag Cloud for your Blogger

Hello.

Once again I modified my blog template. I was thinking of having a  3-D rotating tag cloud for my blog but could not find it anywhere. I've always loved this rotating tag cloud over simple one. So I decided to dedicate my today's leave for it and after a bit more search, finally I found the way. It looks something like this:

I'm sharing the way with you over here.

Inspiring Quotes

Hello Everyone.

Many a times we all stuck in difficult situations where we start loosing the faith in ourselves and our capabilities. Or sometimes we are just in a bad mood for no reason. Then at that time we need a good friend to motivate us to stand up again and face the tough times. This one thing is common with all of us. I hope you too would have came across such situations many times. I don't know what you people do in such circumstances; but I wanna share with you what I do to buck up myself.

I've got my own collection of inspiring quotes. I read these quotes and feel fresh. I'm sharing a few of them here. You too can use them as and when required.
  • Always bear in mind that your own resolution to succeed is more important than any other thing.

  • To follow without halt, one aim; there is the secret of success. And success? What is it? I don't find it in the applause of the theater; it lies rather in the satisfaction of accomplishment.

  • Yesterday, I dared to struggle. Today, I dared to win.

  • All my growth and development led me to believe that if you really do the right thing, and if you play by the rules, and if you've got good enough solid judgement and common sense, that you're going to be able to do whatever you want to do with your life.

  • Better to light a candle than to curse dark.

  • Harder we work, luckier we become.

  • Good people keep on strengthening themselves ceaselessly.

  • Minds are live parachutes, they function only when are open.

I just wish that these will be helpful to you as well. I'll try to share more of such thoughtful quotes with you.

Just stay happy and progress more... :))

Windows 7 Themes from scratch

Hello Everyone.

This post is for the those who use Windows 7 on their systems and are a big fan of its display features. For those who love to play with the different display features (or desktop elements such as desktop background, color, sounds etc), .theme file is a boon for them. A '.theme' file is basically a simple file that enables you to change the appearance of various desktop elements as mentioned earlier. One another benefit of .theme file is that you can share your customizations with your friends also. For sharing you can create a '.themepack' file.

There are two ways to create a .theme (or a .themepack) file:-

1. Using Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Personalization option. Under this, you can make respective changes to your desktop background, window color, sound and screen saver. With this one 'Unsaved Theme' will be created under 'My themes' section. Click on 'Save Theme' Option and give appropriate name. Example in our case. This theme file is stored at the location 'C:\Users\<user_name>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Themes'.

Love your self...!!

Heya.... :)
I'm back. I know its been a long time that I've wrote something. But finally, I took some time from my day and decided to write something.

In my life, I've came across with so many people who keep on trying to impress people around them, especially those who've impressed them. But why are they doing so..?? It's next to impossible to impress all and sundry in this world at a time. In fact, it is a virtual reality that someone can give pleasure to everyone at the same time. Also no one bothers even. So why are we bothering them.

The big question here is why are we trying to impress others when we have one important person to work for. This person has the top most priority in one's life and we always keep him/her at the bottom of our wish list. This important person I'm talking about is-'I'. We just need to impress ourselves. Many of my friends need some reason to do some work and I give them just one answer-to impress ourselves.

Not everything has be done for someone- for friends will, for our nears and dears, for relatives etc.
  • Something in life should be done for oneself as well.
  • Something should be done so that we can raise our status in self thoughts.
  • Something should be done so that we can trust ourselves and our capabilities and can develop self confidence.
  • Something should be done so that we can love ourselves very dearly.
  • Something should be done so that we can achieve something even if no one can understand it.
  • Something should be done just for ourselves because we want it.

Just remember that society and its people treat us the same way as we treat ourselves. So treat yourself like a VVIP (Very Very Important Person) and others will start believing it.

Think over it and share with me.
Stay cheerful and have fun.

Personal Shield Pro- A fake anti-virus software

Like an ordinary day, a few minutes ago, I was accessing net. Suddenly I noticed some antivirus, named "Personal Shield Pro", was disturbing me with its pop-ups which says that my system is infected with enormous viruses and malwares. I was surprised to see this new anti-virus software on my system. But I let it keep scanning my system. After it had scanned my system wholly, it told me that lots and lots of problems had been found and in order to rectify them, I need to upgrade this antivirus. I didn't bother to do so and kept doing my work.
Personal Shield Pro-ScreenShot

Then suddenly I found that it is deactivating many of my system controls and processes like task manager, registry editor, some of my browser features, my taskbar icons etc. So I realized that this was something other than an antivirus software. I goggled for it and got various links which means to remove the Personal Shield Pro. This confirmed my doubt.

I opened one such link which suggests to download some anti-malware program. But this fake antivirus has already disabled any such function on my system. Tired of trying every possible thing, I decided why not to check "Safe Mode with Networking". I logged in again in safe mode with networking and deleted all the files from my "temporary folder". Please don't delete any file which your system might be using; simply skip deleting that file(s). After this I restarted my system in the usual mode and it was done. I finally got rid of that fake anti-virus program.
Some links on google shows to delete some registry entries and some files, but I did nothing like that.

In case if you find any such program, just check for it on net and take appropriate actions.

Happy Computing...!!

Final Semester Result Out

Hurray. My final semester result is out and I secured 84%. :))

Thank you God. I'm thanking God because I wasn't very sure of such a good percentage and that also in my final semester when we had very funny question papers. I remember when we people received our question papers in our hands in the initial few minutes of examination hall, we people used to laugh and look around as to what should be done with this paper-whether it should be attempted or should be turned into the paper plane. :O
Generally the PTU (my university) question papers are expected similar to the previous 10 year papers. But same was not the case with us.

But its OK. Its over now. A happy ending. I'm a B-Tech Graduate now. I'm very happy. My college is over now. There are tons of things I'm gonna miss about my college and my friends. :(

For the timing, I don't want to think of anything sad because this is the time for celebrations. So kudos to me....!! Hurray I did it...!!

Where are we..?? A technical answer

Hello friends.

Following is one forward email which I recently received. Just read it out and share your views:

"A helicopter was flying around above Bangalore when an electrical malfunction disabled all of the aircraft's electronic navigation and communications equipment.

Due to the clouds and haze, the pilot could not determine the helicopter's position. The pilot saw a tall building, flew toward it, circled, and held up a handwritten sign that said "WHERE AM I?" in large letters.

People in the tall building quickly responded to the aircraft, drew a large sign, and held it in a building window. Their sign said "YOU ARE IN A HELICOPTER."

Finally Infosys broke the ice....

Heya.

Finally the day has come me and my friends were waiting for. Infy communicated with us. Huh, a sigh of relief...!! that atleast they remembered us. Thank God... :)

They sent us one mail in which they welcomed us. They also asked us to get ourselves registered at their Campus Connect link with one unique candidate id for each one of us + other steps. The tragedy is that many of us (including me) are not able to login there. It shows the message 'INVALID USER NAME OR PASSWORD'. This is like the limit. I mean we're filling as per the details given to us.

Final Parting formality- Group Snap

Hello.

Now finally the day had come we all were waiting for- our official Group Snap. We all were very excited for this day and had so many plans for it. On friday (April 29th, 2011) i.e. yesterday, we had our official Group Snap.
Truly, we all were looking so nice to the extent we never had been in the entire period of 4 years of our degree.

At that time I realized that yes now this is the end. We now will have to move to our respective paths of life. There was one day of August 2007 when we joined this college with some dreams in our eyes. Time gradually moved on. We made friends, fight with them, them convincing them. We've laughed and cried for some stupid issues. We had our gangs here. We made strong bonding with our teachers. We copied so many assignments. We bunked many lectures.

These fours years were divided into 2 semesters per years, so they were equivalent to 8 years for us. After spending so much time together, it has now become very difficult to separate ourselves with them.

But this is life. We have to move on in our lives and we will.

Last Days of the College

Heya Everyone.

Now finally the time has come when my college life is going to an end. My final final exams are going to start from the May 12th. But before that, I'll be having my practical vivas and 3rd Mid Semester Tests. That means just one or two week more in the college, attending classes and having fun with my friends.

Now I'm feeling very sad about it. Now no more masti and mazak (fun and jokes) :(.
But then a thought use to strike my mind that most of my friends are placed in Infosys along with me and we all will be going together there at their Mysore Training and Developement Center. So most of us will be staying together. Then what is the need to be sad and feel bad.

Even my friends, who have their treat pending with us, are saying that we will be having them at Mysore only. Duh...!!
OK fine all of us will not be together but still most of us will be. And we'll be able to spend some more time together.. :)

Thank you Infy for recruiting most of us.

Just on a funny thought

Punjab Technical University Sucks again

Hi all.
I am a student of a university, called as PTU, which is very fond of opening new branches (colleges, distance education centers etc) in every corner they can find. I don't know if they are in a race to own a 'Guinness World Record' of being a university having maximum branches all over the India. But in their fondness/race, they are forgetting that they may be playing with the future of so many students who're enrolled in their colleges. They have many branches and almost all of them lack enough faculty (here I'm talking about quantity not the quality which is in worse situation..!) to assist them in their academic dealings. For the same reason, the PTU students are getting the similar question paper from past 10-12 years, the course has not been revised ever since and the answer sheets are checked in a very shameful way.
The marks obtained depends on various factors like:- how many sheets filled for the answer, no matter what you've written, the mood of the invigilator at that time, the taste and the fragrance of the tea the invigilator is having at the time of checking the answers and many more on similar lines.

Let me share with you one recent incident supporting all the points I've shared above.
We use to have one subject called 'Design and Analysis of Algorithm' (DAA) in the 5th semester. Some how we people managed to clear that subject but unfortunately our juniors could not. In their class only 3 out of 115 passed the exam and rest all were failed.
When the result was declared on the net, we were sure of some technical or clerical problem while adding the numbers to the list. But in a short while, it was made clear by the university authority that there was no such problem. Our mouths were left opened. I mean the students who are scoring above 85% in other subjects, how can they fail in DAA...!!!
OK fine, the next day the Head of the Department (HOD) of our Computer Sci. Engg. department talked about this matter with the concerned PTU members but he didn't get any satisfactory response. Meanwhile the students also founded the teacher who marked their answer sheets and cursed him a lot (what else can they do at that time).

We're very fortunate that our HOD sir is very committed and concerned for our department. He told PTU that he doubted the marking of DAA answer sheets and asked them to organize a re-checking procedure of few random papers to clarify the scene.
Thank God PTU agreed to it and a great variation was found in the results. Everyone thought that now all the papers will be re-checked and they would be getting a fair result.
But "there are many a slips between the cup and the lip". We don't know what happened in between, they started delaying the process intentionally. The students suspect this delay and they went to the university office to have a face-to-face interaction with the concerned person. However they were just a few students and the concerned person was senior to them. He again made the students leave without any satisfactory answer.

After so many official letters from our HOD, so many telephone calls, emails, text messages, finally PTU gave March 20th, 2011 as proposed date for the announcement of the rectified result. And just look at today's date- its March 27th,2011. Still no result is out. Now the situation is this that they are not responding to any of our letters calls, mails or messages. The students are now not able to meet PTU officials because of one or the other lame excuses.

I don't know what will be the end of this story. But one thing for sure I know is that the future of all the students is at stake and they are cursing PTU very badly. Now the next semester, they'll be trying in some good companies for their 6-month training. But with such a result with them, they can't even apply.

If some PTU official is reading this post, please try to understand the situation of the students and look into this matter with serious concerns. Please don't play with our results like this.

Regards
A PTU Student

Done with my First Mid Semester Tests

Hey everyone.

Today I'm feeling very relieved. My first mid semester tests (MST) are over. It is not that I've prepared a lot for my exams, it's just the mind set. I always feel great after my exams, free from any thoughts, back to my daily routine.

From the past few semesters, me and few of my friends have started studying in groups with each other. Earlier I used to study alone. Studying alone was the only good option with me then because I thought that I had my own way of doing things. But by doing so I missed the fun that I could have by studying with my jolly friends.

But then once I prepared for my exams with them for a change. And I really enjoyed their company.  Among us, some are very attentive during the classes, some have good notes and some are really good at having fun. So we people complement each other.

Just about 2 hours before the exams, we collect together with all our notes and fun stuff. Each one of us had already prepared a small topic and we just need to pile up everything for everyone of us. That's it. This is done while cracking lots of jokes and lots of mimicry. With them I never feel tensed for my exams. And with group study, my productivity and efficiency has increased and I got too good friends...!!

Now studying with them has become my habit. I feel bore while studying alone.
Thank you my friends. May God bless you all.

Engineering and Assignments

Hello.

My 8th and the final semester has just started. Till this date, me and my friends have not even purchase any book for any of our subjects. And our assignment session has already started. Every week one assignment for each subject; that means a total of 6 every week.

I don't understand what is the fun of making the assignments using the 'COPY-PASTE' technique. Even our worthy teachers know this fact very well. But still because assignments are an indispensable  part of our course and we're following it. Ridiculous....

Today one of my teachers dictated us the notes for some topic and at the end of the lecture she gave the same as our next assignment. Had she told us this earlier, I swear, I would have written those notes on my assignment sheets only and would have submitted the same to her.

This is just one example.

It's OK if we have to do our assignments. But the teachers can make them more useful. Instead of the same old boring topics which our seniors have also followed, why can't we have some new topics for our assignments.?? Topics which will add to our knowledge. I know such assignments will going to be time consuming and will require some googling, but atleast we'll be able to learn something new.

I don't know why we people don't change. Why we keep following the footprints of our seniors.? Why don't we dare to think something progressive.?
These assignments consume a lot of our productive time which otherwise we students can use for doing something of our interests or atleast studying our course properly. We study only that is sufficient to score a good percentage in university. Nothing more than that. Even we don't get a chance to implement or use practically what we have learnt. We concentrate more on theory and our practical experience is a thing that is far behind in our education system.

I don't know till how long this scenario will proceed and when engineering students will get rid of useless assignments.

Cleaning CPU

Hi all.

Since last few days, my CPU was making a lot of noise. Probably the reason was the dirt and the web that was stacked on my CPU parts. Oh that was terrible..!! I usually kept all my things clean and well arranged. But this time the condition of my system was pitiful. And I was going too busy to clean all that.

At last, I got the time to clean my computer and the computer table. I started from my CPU. I de-attached it and opened its cabinet. As expected, it was very dirty specially the CPU fan. I took a painting brush and started removing the webs from the fan.

Gradually I cleaned the every part I can see.

Finally I re-attached it and cleaned all the other parts too like my LCD, my keyboard, mouse and the work desk.

After this when I switched on my system, it was so silent, so peaceful, so relaxed and so calm. I felt as if my CPU is thanking me for doing this favor. I was also very happy and relaxed.

I would like to share some suggestions with you for easy and simple cleaning of your CPU.

1. Avoid using water or other chemicals.
2. Use a cotton cloth or a soft painting brush or an ear bud to clean.
3. For further cleaning, a small sized vacuum cleaner can also be used.
4. Clean your CPU at regular interval of time ie not very frequently and not rarely.
5. Be soft while cleaning. Its your own system after all.

System Restore Point

Hello everyone.

I have windows 7 installed on my computer system which I love a lot.
Today when I was just checking different settings of my computer, I suddenly noticed that I have not created any system restore point yet.

System Restore point like a 'milestone' or a 'save point' that points to the system settings of the computer at the time when you created the restore point.
There are two types of system restore points: One which saves only your current system settings and the other one which not only saves your system settings but also your personal files and data. This means restoring in the former case, only your settings and installed drivers and/or programs will be reversed but in later case, your personal files and data will also be taken back to the previous state.

Lets check how these two types of restore points are created in windows 7.

For restore point of type 1 i.e. restoring only the system setting:-->
Right click on your 'My Computer' icon and select 'Properties'.

After this open 'System Protection'. System Protection dialog box will be opened.

Click on 'Create' button. Add specific details in the prompted box and finally click on 'Create'.

Thats it. Your system restore point has been created.
To create the System Restore point 2, i.e. to restore your data also, just switch the system protection 'on' for your disk partitions by clicking on 'Configure'.
Now the question is how to use your system restore point. Whenever you find any problem in your windows operating system that you are not able to crack, one simple solution is to restore to the point previously created by you.

You can restore to any point but we generally restore to the most recent point.

Also in case you are about to re-install you windows in rare cases, then go for repair option. Then also you'll get a chance to restore your system to some previous setting.

So it is advisable to always keep save your latest and good working state of through system restore point.

Please post your queries. I'll try my level best to answer them.

Thanks for visiting and Happy Computing..!!!

Infosys Recruitment

 Hello Everyone.
I feel proud telling that I recently got placed in the Infosys Technologies through Campus Recruitment process. Though I won't be joining very soon because my one semester is still left. But I am very excited about it especially the Infosys Mysore Campus.

So I want to share my experience with you. The recruitment process consisted of two rounds. One was Aptitude Test and the second was the HR Round. Luckily there was no technical round.

1.Aptitude Test: It consist of two sections-Verbal reasoning and the English test.
The test was not very difficult but requires crucial time management.

Verbal Reasoning:There were questions like figure completion. Then there were direction question like A facing north move 50 km to right. Then turning left move 30km and so on. The best way to solve such questions is to draw the appropriate diagram. Then we had data interpretation question. A table with some data was given and followed by some questions related to it. I personally found that tough for me. Next was related to data sufficiency and syllogisms. I would suggest to follow R S Aggarwal Verbal and Non Verbal Book. That is sufficient. Do only above questions. No need to do all if currently you are focusing on cracking Infy only.

English Test: This section requires the basic knowledge of English concept like tenses, use of prepositions etc. Firstly there were questions to find the correct sentence out of four given options. We have to choose grammatically correct sentence that goes the closest to the situation. Then the other set of question consist of sentence with some part underlined. We were to find the correct alternative for the underlined part out of four given options. Earlier it seemed that every given option can be the answer, but then a closer look at the options gave me a clue of the minor difference between each clue. Good concentration and faster reading  was required. Then fill in the sentence out of options given. They were simple preposition filling sentences that require very basic knowledge. Then were questions of theme detection and next followed the two RC paras. They were very lengthy. The trick to do such questions is to first read the questions carefully and then gradually read the paragraph trying to find the answer of the question. Do it as fast as possible. But do it very carefully.

1.HR Interview: After the aptitude test, we were called for the HR process. 7 to 8 interviews were going on simultaneously. One interviewer for one interviewee. They all were very nice and very friendly. My interviewer just discussed my project and my hobbies with me. We discussed many other topics also while discussing the project like from google to wikipedia and so on. Then asked some questions related to my hobbies that I wrote in my resume. Friends just stay prepared for any dam question from your resume. Never ever try to bluff in your resume because you'll be caught very easily. They are very experienced people. And just stay confident and cool. At the end, the interviewer gave me a chance to ask a question from him. I asked him about the job responsibilities of a system engineer of an Infosyian for which I was being interviewed. He explained everything in a detail. That was a pretty nice experience.

Wishing everyone all the very best.
